We were planning on getting approx. 16 clocks to put around our office so every clock is the exact same time, so meetings start on time, so we don't need to set every clock for daylight savings, etc.... According to the instructions it will set itself within 48 hours. It's been about a week and it still has not set itself. I heard they had ones at (a store) so I went up to look. They were 14" clocks with a black border... I set one of them in the evening to make sure it would set and it set itself within 10 minutes. I put batteries in the other 15 clocks and they all set themselves within 15-20 minutes (while the (other) clock still hadn't set). That was last week and all of the cheap clocks we have are awesome. Plus, the time setting procedure on the Atomix clock is a joke. You have to set the time to within 5 minutes of the actual time, then hit a button on the back once when the second hand reaches 12 and then ones when the second hand is 1 second past the minute hand. Talk about a headache. With the "SkyScan" clock you simply put the battery and hit the timezone you're in and it's good to go...
This seemed like a simple, practical clock for our living room but I had to send it back. The piece of paper or plastic on which the numbers are printed wasn't centered perfectly in the ring of wood, which looked pretty bad. Also, the same paper or plastic tended to peel off of the back of the clock.
So it cost us shipping both ways, and we have no clock.
