Moving

Ray could be the most inspiring film I've ever seen. It's deeply touching and time flew by as I was watching it. He lived a fascinating life and the movie captures this well with characters that have depth and a story that isn't afraid to show the rough edges of making it in this world. I can't recommend this film enough.

I also enjoyed a book I came across recently that has a chapter which presents an interesting perspective on the life of Ray Charles, including how he overcame the challenge of losing his brother, then his sight and then his mother in a tragic series of events. It's called "The Emotional Intelligence Quick Book" and it's 30% off on Amazon.

Great - But Give Credit Where Due

This move was absolutely fantastic. It isn't a thriller, it isn't funny, it isn't dramatic, it isn't a musical, but it is all of them.

Jamie Foxx is Ray...He not only acts, he becomes and that makes the movie awesome. But to me, the real talent is in Sharon Warren, the woman that plays Ray's mother. Please give this woman work and get her an oscar...She deserves it!
