Panasonic Folding Travel Speakers (RPSPT70)

Average rating: Stars
Stars Decent sound for the price
Initially, the unit sounded good to me but after trying different music and when comparing to other 1 piece travel speakers in the market, it tends to sound 'tinny' and tiring after a while.
The bass on the Cyber Acoustic CA MP30 is better, but the highs on the RPSPT70 are cleaner. The RPSPT70 lacks the bass making some music like jazz and acoustic instruments sound 'cold' and harsh.

Pros
- Solid construction and design.
- Big name backing
- Good battery life
- Ultra portable

Cons
- Sounds tinny and lacks warmth compared to similarily priced Cyber Acoustic CA MP30
- Short cord
Panasonic Folding Travel Speakers (RPSPT70) - Panasonic
Stars Great speakers at a great price!
I recently bought these speakers to play mp3 files from both my laptop and portable mp3 player. I was looking for something small with good sound quality. I'm very pleased with these so far. As for any complaints, they do have a short cord, but it seems adequate for most uses and I prefer it to the cords of many things I've had that have had cords that were much too long. It can also be convieniently and securely wrapped up in the back of the speakers, which makes for neat and tangle-free travel. I also find that the speakers are prone to tipping over, but this is easily remedied in their foldability, as this enables the speakers to form their own tripod if necessary. All in all, I'm very pleased, as these seem to be precisely what I was looking for and at a great price.

Stars Small package, Great sound!
I received these speakers today, put in the batteries, and WOW! I've had a few portable speakers but the volume and sound quality from these beats them all, hands down. I can now listen to my PDA audiobooks in style. I also plan to use it to take along on trips to get better sound from my laptop while playing movies.
