Perfect for my PC!

I just got these today and I am very satisfied. I do agree that the mid range sound could be better, but lets not compare these to a $20k system. They sound pretty good overall and are worth the price.

good high and low. lacks midrange still good bargain

first, for current discount price of $130 with shipping, this is a great value.
sound: highs are very clear and subwoofer provides very good lows. however, midrange is mediocre. if you play cd via computer and use itune, there is an equalizer which you can adjust the high, and get better midrange. sound will get loud enough but not very loud.
system: you can hook it up to ipod, pc, regular cd player, and anything with audio jack. since this is 65watt, if you can somehow connect through preamp, you might be able to get even better sound. no on/off switch.
advice: there is a volume control on one of the sticks, and you need to increase the volume to get the sound out. otherwise, you will be wondering why you don't hear anything.
conclusion: great for computer speakers and as decent home speakers if you don't have a stereo system (however, by all means, if you want great sound, get a real speaker). great looking. sub woofer is too big to be portable for ipods. but overall, can't complain for the price.

Oddly, they designed these speakers without a headphone jack or an on/off switch
