Outstanding Media Center Desktop Replacement |
| I bought my Qosmio in November of 2004 for work. I telecommute, so I am at home, at a hotel or at the office working basically 7 days a week. The intent was to have a Media Center capable device on a high end portable computer. This is all that and more! Every aspect of MS Media Center functions flawlessly, and there is no room for complaint. The one thing I would like to see is changed is the hard drive configuration. For a device as high end as this, Toshiba should lose the 60/40GB drives and come stock with dual 100GB drives in a RAID-0 array. That would be something to brag about. Overall, I have no compaints other than the price and the weight, but I knew those factors when I bought it, and the sheer performance outweighs those drawbacks. I have used this device daily for seven months now. No regrets or remorse. |

What a drag. |
| I hooked up my Qosmio to a cable box today and am having several problems 1) When watching live TV I hear the same soundtrack twice, about 2 seconds apart. 2) The picture is grainy and looks nothing like what I saw in the store. 3) There is a line of snow or gray and white static on the top of the screen on every channel. I've spent hours trying to remedy this with no luck. Playing DVDs and listening to music on this machine is simple. Watching TV should be too. |

Amazon.com does not pay rebate on the Toshiba G15 |
| Don't buy this notebook. I have been waiting for a $100 rebate since last December 2004 after purchasing the Toshiba G15. I have made four inquiries on their website regarding payment of the rebate. They have not responded to any of the inquiries. I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the BBB regarding these delays. |
