Adobe Photoshop CS2 Upgrade from Photoshop [Any Version]

Average rating: Stars
Stars CS2 = WOW
I won't list all the great improvements, as you can read above and see for yourself, but for me "smart objects" was worth the upgrade alone. You can actually use your RAW images as "Smart Objects" and no longer when you open a RAW image are you stuck with your RAW adjustments. Use your various layer adjustments, and at any time open you image back into Adobe Camera RAW for further adjustments on the original RAW image!!! This is incredible! With Smart Objects you are also able to resize images (individual layers), making them smaller and larger all day long with out any quality loss!

The new Adobe Bridge really is a great improvement as well. It is first generation of its kind, so its not perfect, but it is better then the file Browser. Many improvements, and much more flexibility. There has also been a recent update that addresses some of the "slow" issues people are having. I personally have not had any issues and it works very smoothly on my PC.

I have to also mention the new Camera RAW 3. You can now open all your images at once, and apply any settings to as many of the images as you want to. It also now has curves! And you can open up ACR from with in Adobe Bridge, this means you can process your images in the back ground and still be working in PS!!

Finally, you should keep in mind that there are many many many other refinements that will never get mentioned in a review, you will just be in delight when you come across them.

WHOOO HOOO!
Adobe Photoshop CS2 Upgrade from Photoshop [Any Version] - Adobe
Stars Photoshop CS2 a winner
Plenty of positive reviews on line, but from someone who has used CS for a year, this is a nice upgrade. The Bridge feature is especially user friendly.

Bridge and its speed compared to CS browser is probably sufficient to justify the upgrade, but there are other features that can be real time savers. The auto features in Camera Raw can save time in adjusting the sliders for exposure, shadows, and brightness, and with the multi image Raw automation. The spot healing tool is great compared to the CS version. I also like the image warp feature for special effects. For speed and the new features, the upgrade is well worth the $145.
